Summers are all about hot breeze, exotic coolers and licking your fingers after enjoying mangoes on a summer afternoon. We cannot think of anyone who isn’t tempted to dig into juicy, rich mangoes. Now for people with diabetes, it may raise a few questions as to whether or not you should eat a mango and how much should you eat. So we’re here to tell you how to enjoy mangoes in a diabetes friendly manner

  • Remember to pair a mango with a food item that is low in carbohydrates. Mango & yogurt happen to fit perfectly in your diet as plain yogurt is low is carbohydrates.

  • But if you choose to eat a mango as it is, make sure you check and your blood sugar before and after 2 hours of eating. Consult with your doctor first and have it in moderation (your doctor can help you with how much portion is suitable for your). This way, you can relish your favourite food while keeping your blood sugar levels in check.
